About Pitch Aviation
Welcome to Pitch Aviation! My love for aviation began when I was 7 years old during a birthday flight with my grandfather. From that age forward, my educational and professional career centered on achieving my aviation goals. I initially attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach and soloed my first airplane in October 1991. After receiving an Aviation Technology Degree from Purdue University, I moved to Arizona. By early 2002, I was flying for the City of Mesa Police Department Air Support Unit. I have been with the Air Support Unit since that time and added helicopters to my flight experience in 2009. In that same period of time, I also completed my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. I am currently the lead pilot and flight instructor for both the airplane and helicopter fleet of the Mesa Police Department Air Support Unit. With over 5000 hours fight time, I started Pitch Aviation to share my experiences and knowledge with those who have a passion and desire to begin or further a career in aviation. From personalized instruction to contract pilot services, I look forward to working with you.
